The affiliation with House Orogoth has been retconned in. Originally he was meant to be just a random offspring of a black dragon from the High Moor, however later, upon closer inspection of the location, all local black dragons are likely stemming from House Orogoth. This detail was used to further flesh out his origin story. The only known other half-dragon from the High Moor is Rezmir the Black, thus making it highly likely that Ruë is her brother.
Originally, Ruë was supposed to be a transgender male, however a spontaneous roleplay accident has caused it to be canonized the he possesses a penis.
